Our Story
We didn’t set out to start a candle company. We set out to create something deeply personal, an experience rooted in emotion, memory, and meaning.
As longtime creative collaborators, we’ve built our careers around sharing extraordinary spaces and moments with the world. But we wanted something more tactile, something we could craft with our own hands, without the noise and restrictions that often come with large-scale productions. That’s how NUARE was born.
At first, we did what many new brands do: we partnered with a large manufacturer to produce our first run of 5,000 candles. The scents were somewhat custom, but the ingredients were limited, and the soul of the product didn’t feel like ours. We realized quickly that if we wanted to make something truly special, something we could stand behind, it had to come from us, entirely.
So we took everything in-house.
Every single NUARE candle is made by us, poured, tested, and refined by hand. We mix our own scents using only essential oils. We design and print every label, cut and fold each box, and source every ingredient ourselves. Our candles are made from a custom blend of 100% soy wax and beeswax, no paraffins, no synthetic perfumes, no shortcuts. It hasn’t been easy. This journey has taken us two years, over 100's test candles, and countless hours of trial and error.
The result? Our very first candle, an 11 oz slow-burning masterpiece with a 90-hour burn time. It’s clean, natural, and remarkably better for both your health and the environment.
We believe scent is one of the most powerful senses we have. It can transport us. Calm us. Bring us back to a place or a person we love. NUARE is our way of honoring that. A product we’re proud to share. A creative outlet where the process is the point.
